Christmas 2012

Well, the Christmas season is over but we are still trying to keep it alive here by listening to Christmas songs and keeping the toys out all over the living room! Hopefully they get put away soon, if we can find enough room to store them all, that is. Here is a picture of Santa with Sweetpea and cousin Nathan. Santa made a special visit to Nana's house when we were visiting!
Sweetpea told me today that everything she got at Christmas was her favorite and that she enjoyed all of her gifts. Santa brought her Stompeez - here is a video of her with her new Stompeez. Hope everyone had a great Christmas!!

In memory of...

My grandpa Reah passed away. He will be greatly missed. I remember him as always having a smile on his face and always being positive. One of his favorite things to say was "another day in which to excel!" He was also always singing, which I think may be where my mother, myself, and Sweetpea get it from!
Tonight Sweetpea said her prayers and she prayed for Great Grandpa that he was in heaven playing with Nyles. It will be a bittersweet Christmas, but I know that my grandpa, my grandma Evans, Nyles, Aaron's Grandparents' Schwartze and Grandpa Wieberg are all up there having a grand celebration with God. For that I am thankful!

Christmas Program

Sweetpea had her Christmas program at school. She did a great job singing on stage! Here are the videos of her singing.

Thanksgiving 2012

We had a great Thanksgiving! So many family members came to celebrate and it was so nice seeing everyone! Here are a couple family pics. Sweetpea had so much fun with her cousins that she doesn't get to see very often.
Now we are getting ready for Christmas - hard to believe! Especially since there is no sign of snow anytime soon...very upset about that. Here is a video of Sweetpea and I decorating the tree. Doesn't everyone decorate in a Rapunzel dress? :)

First day of PreK - 4 year olds

Here's a picture of Sweetpea and I on our first day of school. She had the cutest outfit to wear from Great Nana and Reah! It seems as though we have been going nonstop, so it was nice this Labor Day weekend to have nowhere to go. Unfortunately, it rained most of the weekend, but we did get in the pool a little bit this afternoon and got to spend a lot of family time together! Hope everyone else had a great Labor Day!

Budding Artist

Sweetpea took some art lessons (or rather just playtime with art classes) this summer and here is her final work of art. It was a painting of her, me, and Aaron at our house with the pool in the background. We are eating ice cream cones. You can see I have the biggest cone! :)
She definitely took after her father in the art department! Hope everyone is staying cool in this hot weather!

Model in the making!

We have been having a great summer so far! We went to a waterpark with Nana, Papa Phil, Nathan, and Nate this past weekend - Sweetpea was worn out! Earlier this month we went to the mall and Sweetpea saw a bungee jump that she just HAD to do. I made her wait awhile, but she finally got to jump. Here's a video of her jumping. After jumping we walked around the mall for awhile and Sweetpea was modeling sunglasses for us - it was pretty funny! Here's a video of our little model.

Summertime

I know I have been a horrible blogger! It's been a quick summer with taking two classes and entertaining Sweetpea! Plus, we're in between computers so I had to figure out how to get pictures and video onto my laptop. But, enough excuses! Here's a video of Sweetpea swimming in the pool - we've been getting a lot of use out of our pool this year and Sweetpea finally put her head underwater and hasn't wanted to stay above water since. We also went to a baseball game this past weekend because it was Princess Day. Sweetpea got to meet Ariel, Belle, Cinderella, and Snow White. Of course, when I said they probably had to go back to their castle later she laughed at me and said, "Mom, they're just dressed up like princesses, they live in a house not a castle." Can't get much past her anymore! Here's a picture of Sweetpea hugging the baseball mascot, Homer. This is a BIG step because she has been scared to death of mascots and this was the first time she willingly went up to one! My little girl is getting pretty big!
