We got our family pictures taken last month and finally got them back! Here's one of our pictures. Sweetpea had a blast taking pictures and cheese-ing it up for the camera!

Christmas Program

Sweetpea had her Christmas program at school! She did a great job and only got distracted a few times. :) She is still singing Christmas songs around the house. Here are some videos of her songs - hopefully you will be able to view them.

Happy Thanksgiving!

I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving! We enjoyed our first Thanksgiving at home with Nana Karen and Papa Phil. There was plenty of food and lots of leftovers. Today we went to the Santa Claus parade and had lots of fun watching all the floats. After that we did a little shopping and ran into Santa again at the mall. Sweetpea actually wanted to talk to him this time and we got some great pictures of her with Santa and Mrs. Claus. Luckily, this was at the mall with free pictures from your own camera! :) We are so thankful for our family and friends and wish you all a great holiday season!

Halloween

Sweetpea has been having a great Halloween! She went to Trunk or Treat on Sunday at school and, although it was a rough start because she saw a kid in a scary mask and wanted to go home, in the end she had a blast. Especially when she started getting candy. :) Tonight she walked around the neighborhood with daddy and got even more candy!! Here's a picture of our little clown. Hope everyone else had a great Halloween as well!

Circus!

Grandma and Grandpa E. surprised Sweetpea with tickets to the circus this weekend! Unfortunately, Grandpa couldn't come because Great Grandpa E. wasn't feeling well. Thankfully, Great Grandpa E. is doing much better!!

Because we had an extra ticket, though, Sweetpea got to bring her friend Ty! They had so much fun. At first it was a little bit overwhelming because of all the people and things going on so Sweetpea was a little hesitant. Ty wasn't, however, and just went right on over to the action and watched everything! When we got to our seats and the show started, though, both kids were in a trance! Here's a video showing some of the circus. It was a great show!!

And, Sweetpea has since decided she wants to be a clown for halloween...we'll see if that is still the case in a week or so.

First day of school

Sweetpea started at a new school - mine! :) She has really adapted well to the new environment and the new schedule. Here's a picture of us on our first day. While we miss our summer days of sleeping in we are enjoying this fall weather that is starting to come. I am excited about going to the apple orchard and doing all those fall things.
We had some great vacations this summer - to Fun City with Grandma and Grandpa Evans, to Galena with Nana, Phil, Nathan, and Nathan Michael, and to Columbia to see our new nephew who is the sweetest baby ever! Hope everyone else had a great summer and here's to hoping I can keep you better updated!

Summer Fun!

We've been so busy and summer has only been here for a week! Sweetpea started swimming lessons this past week. These swimming lessons are on her own (with her teacher, of course!). She wanted mommy to come in the water, but she did a great job without me! Here's a picture of her with her teacher in the water.

She had her first field trip of the summer this past week, too. I decided to go with her class on this one since I knew I wouldn't have much homework yet in my class. They went to a museum with lots of old cars, trains, and other machines. Here's a video of Sweetpea in one of the old fire trucks.

We also went to the Turkey Festival this past weekend with her friend, Ty. They had so much fun running around and riding the rides.

We had another first this week, too. When Sweetpea and I were at the park she told me her best friend was with us. So, I guess we can welcome her first invisible friend to the family. Her best friend also ate dinner with us that night, although since that day I haven't heard about her. Sweetpea has been writing a lot lately, too. She has been perfecting her name, along with dad and mom. But, she also recently wrote papa!
She told me on a walk that she misses all her grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins and can't wait to see everyone soon! Hopefully she'll be able to meet a new cousin soon, too! :)

Back to school

As many of you know, Sweetpea has been having leg problems lately. She's still not walking on her left leg, but all the tests have come back negative and she's sleeping a lot better, so slowly we're getting back. Today was her first day back to school in a week and her friends were so happy to see her! Here she is with a card they made her. Her teacher said she slept with the card at naptime. :)

Papa E. was up a lot last week helping out with Sweetpea and he brought her this pink corvette. As you can see, she doesn't quite understand the steering yet, but she loved driving the car up and down the street! Unfortunately, it is broken now, so we have had to resort back to our bike, but the car was fun and Sweetpea is looking forward to its return.

Hope everyone has a great Memorial Day weekend!

Happy Easter!

We had a great Easter and hope everyone else did, too! The Saturday before Easter we went to a wedding for my friend, Monica. It was fun! They had a candy bar set up where you could fill up on goodies, so Sweetpea couldn't get enough of that! She did quite a bit of dancing, too. Or, rather, running across the dance floor a few times! Then, Sunday morning she woke up to a basket full of more sweets! We have had our fill of candy this weekend, that is for sure! Here's a video of Sweetpea hiding eggs for daddy.

Spring is in the air...

It was so nice this weekend! Sweetpea and Daddy went to the park today - it's so nice being able to play outside! We had some visitors last weekend - Nana and Papa Wulff, Uncle Nathan, and Great Grandma W. Sweetpea had so much fun playing with them all. We went to the hockey game on Saturday night and Uncle Nathan bought Sweetpea some dipping dots - she loved them! This weekend we've been busy with gymnastics and pancake breakfast at church. We also went to a new place called Monkey Joe's. Sweetpea loved playing on the bouncey toys and sliding down the big slides with her friend Ty. Here's a picture of some smiley faces she made the other day. She has been drawing everything lately - and sometimes her drawings are better than what I would be able to make! :) She is also really into letters and yesterday she even made an E!! Also - here' s a video from gymnastics last week when everyone was visiting. I think Phil had more fun than Sweetpea did doing all the gymnastics! Uncle Nathan had fun jumping in the foam pit, too.

Happy St. Pat's!

We had a great St. Patrick's Day! Since I had the day off, I kept Sweetpea home and we went to the parade downtown with her friend Ty. They had lots of fun, or at least Sweetpea was having fun until a stuffed duck came walking down in the parade. Then she got a little scared and wanted to go home. It was such a beautiful day, though, so the parade was great. Then after nap we enjoyed some time playing outside.

This past weekend we went to the Children's museum in Decatur. Sweetpea's favorite part, I think, was swimming in the hotel! The museum was fun, too. Sweetpea really loved the shopping part and pushing the cart around to "shop." Here's a video of her checking me out at the register. There's also a picture of her painting on the wall - another one of her favorite activities at the museum!

Sweetpea's first pet!

Sweetpea got a present for being such a good girl at going potty! We bought her 4 goldfish this weekend. So far the fish are doing great. Sweetpea loves feeding them! Last month she had a potty party at school, too. Here's a picture of her in her potty star hat. I got to come celebrate with her. She had cake and chocolate milk!
We've been pretty busy! Last week we had bingo night at my school. Sweetpea had a blast running around. She got to eat lots of sweet treats and enjoyed coloring the bingo cards with the bingo markers. She has been taking gymnastics with her buddy Ty. She's getting really good at balance and rolling. She's still talking up a storm, too! Her birthday will be here really soon - we've been talking about that a lot lately! Here's a video of Sweetpea's new fish!

Snow day...again!

One last snow day. Sweetpea and I had fun today, but daddy had to work. We made snow ice cream, which was really good! We just added snow, sugar, vanilla, and milk. It was really yummy! Then we played tea party with all of Sweetpea's animals. Here's a video of her serving us tea.

Snow Day!!

We got 2 snow days - so exciting!! I'm loving all the snow outside, but I wish it was a little warmer so we could go play in it. Yesterday, Sweetpea and I stayed home. We made a cake to celebrate her potty party, since it was supposed to be at school that day but we were stuck at home. She kept wanting to eat the batter - just like her mommy!

Today we are all home just relaxing. Here's a picture of Sweetpea at gymnastics last weekend. She's really good with balance and she's getting a lot better at rolling. She still does not want to jump into the foam pit, though. She'll run up to the edge and then sit down and slide in. Here's a video of her playing hide and seek with daddy. She wasn't expecting him to find her so soon! :)

Gymnast in training

Well, I think we are officially potty trained! (knock on wood) Sweetpea has been doing great! We also started gymnastics a couple weeks ago. She is in a class with her friend, Ty. They have lots of fun imitating each other! Here's a picture of Sweetpea and I playing. She let me braid her hair so I took a picture! Also - you can see I got my haircut recently as well! :)
We think Sweetpea must be going through a growth spurt because she has been eating like crazy! While she wants to eat all the time, she also wants to run around all the time, though, so we're working on teaching her how to sit and eat. She does not like to sit for very long!
We have been busy. I'm back at school, Sweetpea is running around keeping us moving, and Aaron is working hard. I'll try my best to update, but it may be awhile!
