Beautiful day

The weather was really nice today. We took Sweetpea to the zoo - she had a blast. But, she would get really mad when we tried to put her in the stroller - she just wanted to run around the whole time. It makes me so nervous because she's getting really fast and confident now in her steps!

She slept until 8:00 this morning - how nice for mommy! I think she is still worn out from vacation.

Here's a picture Sweetpea is really going to love when she's a teenager! :)

Back Home

We have been busy! Aunt Katie's wedding was last weekend and it was wonderful! A very beautiful ceremony and a beautiful bride! Sweetpea had a blast running around and exploring all night. She was exhausted from the weekend, though. I think she's still catching up on sleep!

Sweetpea and I stayed with my parents for a few extra days and she got lots of grandparent time. We also went to visit great grandma and great grandpa Wieberg with Nana and cousin Nathan.

We got back home yesterday and Sweetpea was kind of sad, I think, because there was no dog at our house and she really loved playing with my parents' dog! They played catch and chase. Every day when she woke up she would say "dog" and point out into the hall in hopes of seeing Nyles. Here are some pictures from our mini vacation.

Head, shoulders, knees and toes

Sweetpea has been playing the song "Head, shoulders, knees and toes" repeatedly lately. She'll play it and then point right away to her head. We haven't yet gotten the other body parts down, but it's a start! She also found her nose today, and figured out quickly how to pick it. I'm sure I'll get a picture of it soon!
Here's another video from swimming this weekend. Enjoy!

Pool days

Yesterday was a really nice afternoon, so we decided to do some swimming. I chickened out and didn't get too wet because the water was pretty cold from all the rain lately, but Aaron did some swimming and Sweetpea got in for a little bit. She really enjoyed playing with these new squirt toys she got. Her and daddy played with them for a very long time. Here's a video of Sweetpea squirting daddy!

15 months old!

I realized earlier that Sweetpea turned 15 months old today - crazy! We have had a pretty uneventful couple of days. Wednesday it rained pretty much all day so our playdate was cancelled in the morning. Instead we decided to go over to the Rainbow store and Sweetpea played on the swingsets inside. We were the only people there, which was kind of nice not having to worry about bigger kids running her over!
Thursday we went for a walk in the morning along the river with some friends, which was really nice because it wasn't quite so hot yet. But, later that day it definitely heated up!
Today it rained all morning, so we didn't do much. But, tonight we went to dinner with daddy which was nice. Sweetpea definitely seems to like mexican food, which is a good thing in this family! We also went to the doctor today because Sweetpea has been coughing a lot lately, but the doc said she looks really good so we'll just have to wait for all this drainage to come out.
Here's a video of Sweetpea dancing - she's getting ready for Aunt Katie's wedding! :)

The sixth food group is....dirt!

We went to the park yesterday and Sweetpea grabbed a whole handful of dirt and stuffed it into her mouth before I could get to her! Yuck!! What a mess that was.

I'm thinking there's a growth spurt going on because it seemed like all she did today was eat. Sweetpea is one hungry little girl!! We went to storytime today at Borders. There were a lot of little kids there, which was neat. Sweetpea didn't listen much to the story, though. Instead she wanted me to chase her all over Borders - I definitely got some exercise in. They also gave the kids a little dixie cup of strawberry smoothie. Sweetpea gulped hers down in probably 5 seconds flat - I was so afraid she was going to get a brain freeze, but she just seemed to want more. :)

Here's a picture of Sweetpea giving one of her many "looks." She has been told by many people that she is a very expressive little girl!

Happy Fourth of July!

Today was Sweetpea's second fourth of July! Yesterday we celebrated with her godparents and other friends. We had a barbeque and then watched the fireworks from their deck - it was an awesome view! Sweetpea really enjoyed it and had no problems with staying up until 10:00! :) She even slept a little later this morning for me.

Daddy didn't get to golf very much this morning, though, because it was rainy. It's actually been raining all day. It's a good thing we watched the fireworks last night! Tonight, though, we went to another barbeque with some of Sweetpea's friends from my mom's group. Lots of good food and fun - actually, too much food!

Sweetpea got some new tennis shoes yesterday, so here's a picture of her today wearing her new kicks.

First haircut...sort of

Sweetpea got her first hair cut today - although it was just a trim of her bangs. We decided her bangs were getting too long, so daddy trimmed them up. She was great - and here's a picture of her with her new 'do! :)

We went to the zoo today with Noah. They had a great time. The goats scared Sweetpea a little because one goat was butting his horn on the fence. Scared me, too, actually! She has been feeling a lot better the last couple days and we're all finally getting some sleep around here! Here's a little video of Sweetpea riding her horse. I tried to get a better video, but this is all I could get for now. She really likes riding that horse, though. I think she's definitely going to be a cowgirl!!
