Pudding everywhere!

So, we had our messy playdate today! Sweetpea had 3 of her friends over and, of course, Noah. We went in the garage and they played with pudding finger paint. Not too many Van Gogh's in the crowd, though. They preferred eating the pudding. Sweetpea started off painting a little, but near the end her mouth was blue from pudding. Then we stripped them all down to their diapers and they were running around the basement - it was like a diapers commercial! Very cute!

Love the comments - thanks for posting! We love hearing from you! :) Here's a video of Sweetpea showing her golfing skills. Of course she was doing a lot more until I got the camera out, but that's how it goes.
Sunday morning Sweetpea slept until 9:00!!! I couldn't believe it! Of course, last night she didn't want to go to bed, but at least I got a weekend of sleeping in.
Today Noah came over, but he left early to go to the doctor. Turns out he has a respiratory infection and he's going to need to use a nebulizer so we'll be doing that for a few days. Poor guy. Since he left early, Sweetpea and I got some food shopping in. Now it is pouring buckets!! Hopefully it stops tomorrow because we have a messy playdate that I was hoping we could do outside to control the messiness. :) I'll keep you updated on how that goes!

Sleeping In

Sweetpea let me sleep in this morning until 8:00!! It was wonderful. I know some of you, namely my sister Christi, are saying that 8 is not sleeping in, but for me it definitely is! :)

We didn't do much else the rest of the day. It is really hot out, but it's been wanting to rain all day so we're waiting for it. I went and ran some errands. While I was gone daddy and Sweetpea went riding around in the wagon for a little bit. Tomorrow I am hosting a baby shower for my friend so tonight I am just going to get ready for that and relax. Messy!!

We had our first very, very messy dinner tonight!! Sweetpea had ravioli, which as you can see ended up everywhere! She loved it, though.

We enjoyed the beautiful weather today! When Noah was here I took them both on a ride in Sweetpea's wagon. Then this afternoon I took Sweetpea to the park. She managed to find a cookie lying on the ground that went into her mouth very quickly. Luckily, I fished it out, but a bunch of dirt got in there along with the cookie. Yuck!!

on the move!

Noah is on the move now!! Those two have spent the last two mornings walking circles around the kitchen - just walking and walking. It's kind of nice because then they're worn out for nap time! :) Sweetpea has also been falling, though, which isn't fun. Yesterday morning she fell pretty hard into the table and has a war wound on her forehead now.

I am so sick of this rain!! Tomorrow is supposed to be nice, though, so I am planning on going outside with Sweetpea. Here is a picture of Sweetpea wearing her birthday gift from Aunt Christi and doing a semi-cheer! (That's all I could get out of her) I definitely see a cheerleader in the making - "Go USC!!"

All play!

We've been doing a lot lately it seems! Friday I took Noah and Sweetpea to the zoo because it was beautiful outside! We had lots of fun. I will admit it is hard getting two little ones in and out, but it was way too nice to stay inside! Then when daddy got home Friday afternoon we took Sweetpea for a little walk in her new wagon. We walked up to the nearby swings and did a little swinging, which Sweetpea really liked!

Today we had a birthday party for one of Sweetpea's friends. We went to a local gymnastics place that had tons of stuff to crawl and jump on. Sweetpea had lots of fun and I think I may sign her up for gymnastics in a few months!

Then tonight we went and got Sweetpea's first year pictures taken. She had lots of smiles, so I am looking forward to seeing the pics! Here is a picture from the zoo on Friday.

Also, Aaron finally hung up the letters that Nana Karen made her for her birthday. They look great in her room and I am also attaching a picture of the letters in her room!

We went to the doctor yesterday and Sweetpea weighed in at 21 lb 7 oz! She also got another round of shots unfortunately. She took them like a champion, though! And, later that day I let her eat a "real" cupcake for her birthday - that helped her forget those stinkin' shots! We had a celebration at the park with some of her friends. It was lots of fun and the weather was great! Today it was just Sweetpea and I because Noah is getting over being sick. He'll be here tomorrow, but it was kind of nice just having Sweetpea today. We did some grocery shopping in the morning and then in the afternoon we went to the park again and met some of her friends. She really loves the swing! Here's a picture of her swinging today. Let's hope this beautiful weather sticks around for awhile!

Still recuperating..

We had a very nice weekend! Sweetpea's real birthday was Friday so we went out to eat Friday night with Nana Karen, Dee, Grandma & Grandpa E. and great Grandpa E. Then Saturday we had her big celebration with cake and presents! She really enjoyed the icing on her cake. It was a very nice party and we really enjoyed spending time with all the family!
Saturday night we went to a hockey game and Sweetpea stayed up the whole time! She would be really tired until they got a goal and then the excitement of the crowd would wake her up again. I think she really likes hockey! Of course, then Sunday was her first Easter so we had another celebration that morning. She was an angel at church, too. Today she caught up on some sleep, though, with a long afternoon nap. Mom and dad could still use some catching up on our sleep as well!

One more day...

I can't believe my baby's going to be 1 in a day!! I'm excited, but also a little sad. She's growing up so fast!

We have been so busy the last couple days. Wednesday we met an old student of mine for breakfast. Then we went back home for a quick nap before another playdate. Sweetpea had lots of fun with her friends - she was showing off her new walking skills all afternoon! Of course, then Wednesday night Sweetpea got to play with her dad while I went to work.

Today we had Noah over and they had fun together. Then this afternoon I took Sweetpea out to get balloons for her big party this weekend. Here's a picture of her walking with her balloons!

Because all the family is coming into town tomorrow I will probably not post anything new until Monday - but for all the family that couldn't make it this weekend we will be thinking about you and we hope everyone has a fantastic Easter!!

New Appliances!

Our new appliances came Saturday. What a loooong day!! The refrigerator didn't fit so Aaron had to sand some of the cabinet. Finally we squeezed it in! It was also quite an ordeal to hook up the dishwasher, but we got it all done. Or should I say Aaron got it all done! :) He did a great job! Here's a picture of our "new" kitchen.

Unfortunately, Sweetpea also had her first big temperature. Sunday morning she was feeling really hot and ended up having a 103.5 degree temp. We gave her some tylenol and, luckily, her temp. returned to normal by Monday. She still sounds pretty stuffed up so I think her sinus' are bothering her. Hopefully she'll be healthy for her birthday!

Rain, Rain Go Away

I am so sick of this rain!! I just want to be able to go walking with Sweetpea and get out of this house! Wednesday we did go to an open gym type thing in the area. It was alright - they had a lot of mats set up with things to climb on. Sweetpea wanted to walk all the way around the gym and she tried to go from crawling to standing because she saw other kids doing it. But, we haven't quite figured that out yet.
Noah was watching Sweetpea walking today and I think it got him interested because he started to try walking more. I think I may have two little ones running around soon!!
Here's a little video of Sweetpea walking with my cell phone. She learned how to open it up, so she'll find it now and just start opening it and pushing buttons. Keeps me on my toes!! :)
